HorrorTris
A downloadable game
One day while walking the halls of my college, I stumbled upon the abandoned basement of the central building. The lights there still worked, the heat was still on, but there were many objects seemingly untouched for years. Piercing through all the dust and grime on the untouched hall, there was a simple DVD case. It read "Do not play, will curse you and everyone in the same room." Against my better judgment, I opened the case.
Inside was a disc that read "Tetris.exe." Being a huge Tetris fan, I immediately went home and popped the disc into my computer. What I experienced was a buggy version of Tetris that created such grotesque poems. Since playing this game I haven't been able to sleep. I haven't been able to eat. I can barely look at my family the same. I have become a shell of my former self...
(Jokes aside, this is my submission for my Digital Poetry class's final project. This is an infinite poem generator powered by a game of Tetris. The more you play the further the poem changes. The game is in a buggy prototype-like state. Whether or not this will ever be updated or finished I do not know. The introduction story is written as a send up of the haunted game creepypastas of old. Thank you for showing any interest in this.)
